Guitar Lesson Policy at Arias and Arpeggios for Chuck Fisher

This is the current policy and price schedule effective January 1, 2024. It is representative of private lessons in Metro Denver. In order for private teachers, like myself, to continue to afford teaching these rules will be enforced.

Payment:

Preferred payment method is monthly at $140.00 ( 4 week lesson month) – due at the first lesson of the month. Payment not received by the second lesson of the month will be charged a late fee of $10.00. A weekly payment of $35.00 is accepted provided it is not abused; i.e. missing 2 or more lessons per month, missed or non payment. Exceptions will only be made on a case by case basis upon my approval. If I feel weekly payments are not timely and consistent I will require monthly payment up front.

Lesson Cancellations / Make up Lessons:

Lessons are the student’s and or parent’s responsibility to attend each week. If the scheduled time is an issue notify me a.s.a.p. to prevent missed lessons. Make up lessons can be given on a case by case basis dependent upon time availability. Cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours prior to the lesson, otherwise the student will be charged for the missed lesson. No Refunds.

Vacations:

With advance notice ( one week minimum please ) I can arrange for up to two consecutive weeks off without payment to hold a time slot. If more time off is needed and the student wishes to hold the time slot I will need 50% lesson payment of the additional weeks missed, otherwise a longer absence will relinquish the time slot and require the student to reschedule based on availability.

Other Reasons to Miss a Lesson:

In the event of and accident or illness I will determine on a case by case basis how the missed lesson will be handled / made up. Remember: lack of practice, forgetting the lesson or any other excuse of that nature will not automatically result in a lesson credit or makeup.

Teacher Misses:

If I have to cancel or miss a lesson the student will not be charged. Credit will be given for a future lesson.

Stopping Lessons:

If a student wishes or needs to discontinue lessons please notify me a.s.a.p. so I am not holding an open time slot for no reason. If a student misses 2 lessons with no payment or no contact they will loose the time slot. Moral of the story… call me!
